Abdominplasty [Tummy Tuck]

If lower abdominal stretch marks or redundant skin across the lower abdomen is keeping you from wearing the clothes you'd like, keeping you from exercising, or spoiling what you see when you look in the mirror, a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) may be a good choice for you.

A Tummy Tuck actually involves two body changing procedures. Obviously, there is excision of redundant skin and fat on the lower abdomen but, less obviously, the weakness of the abdominal wall is tightened cinching in the waist several inches. Sometimes an old C-section scar is used to avoid new scars.

The procedure is done under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. You can often resume many of your routine activities within weeks of surgery.
